Production Services

Production Time/Rush Services

  • 10 working days after art approvals (applies to catalog items and quantities).
  • Exact repeat orders require approximately 3 to 7 working days (applies to catalog items and quantities).
  • See "Fast Track" guidelines for specific items that can ship in 3 working days.
  • Additional charges may apply to non-Fast Track catalog items required to ship in less than 10 working days (contact factory).
  • 5% Rush Charge added for each day under 10 production days.

Fast Track

  • Items designated with logo in catalog and price sheet.
  • Applies to catalog quantities with standard imprints.
  • Provide complete purchase order including art and complete shipping information.
  • Pre-approve credit is required.
  • Provide all documentation to Visions Awards by 3:00 pm E.S.T. (Receipt Date).
  • Order will ship 3 working days from date of receipt.
  • Order must ship next day air.

Sample Services

Random Samples/Memo Bill Samples

  • Subject to availability, contact customer service.
  • Please provide complete purchase order.
  • Invoice must be paid in full.

Overrun Samples

  • Request at time of order.
  • Billed at order quantity price.

Art Services

Artwork

  • All artwork is subject to factory approval.
  • Electronic art is preferred (see art specifications).
  • Art modification charge $75(G) per hour, 1 hour minimum.
  • Email your customer service representative
  • E-mail must include purchase order number and company name in the subject line.

Setup

  • One time charge of $79(G) per design.
  • Exact repeat orders with "identical" art receive no setup charge.
  • Screen Charge $55(G) per color, per location.
  • Screen Printing Run Charge $2.50 (G) per unit, per color, per location.
  • Repeat Screen Charge $22.50(G) per color, per location.
  • Includes first personalization on first order.

Copy Changes & Personalization

  • 1 to 2 lines $7.75(G) each item.
  • 3 to 4 lines $10(G) each item.
  • 5 to 10 lines $18.75(G) each item.
  • 11 and more $37.50(G) each item.
  • Signature Fee $12.50(G) each item.

Imprinting/Additional Positions

  • Catalog pricing includes the standard imprint.
  • Oversize or additional positions $7.75(G) per location.
  • Obstructions that break imprint area constitute a second location.
  • Set up and run charges apply to additional imprint areas

Colorfill/Screening Running Charges

  • Standard colorfill on ebony is bright gold.
  • Standard colorfill on white agate stone is classic gold.
  • Standard colorfill on multi-colored slate, cappuccino stone, and sterling agate stone is black.
  • Additional colors $5(G) per color, per item, per surface.
  • Additional colors on etched metal plate are $5(G) per unit.

Paperproofs

  • First paper proof per order is no charge (additional paper proofs may incur additional charges).
  • Written approval not returned via fax within 24 hours may delay your ship date.

Custom Orders

  • 50% deposit is required on custom orders.
  • All custom orders require a prototype.
  • Prototypes will be billed separately, including tooling, imprint, materials, and other associated charges.
  • Call factory for a quote and lead time.
  • Minimum quantity may apply depending on materials and processes used. Please call for more information.

Custom Delivery Schedule:

  • Rendering 24 - 48 hours
  • Quote 24 - 48 hours
  • CAD 24 - 48 hours
  • Prototype 3 - 4 weeks after art approval
  • Prototype Revisions Each revision - 2 weeks

Changes/Cancellations

  • Provide all changes to the factory in writing.
  • After art approval, production begins; changes after this time may be subject to additional charges.
  • Cancellations may be subject to partial or full charges.

Shipping Services

Shipping/Handling

  • Standard shipping methods are UPS or FedEx.
  • Special shipping methods and requests are subject to additional handling charges.
  • All internatiuonal shipments are subject to additional duties, taxes, and brokerage fees.
  • A $8.75(G) per master carton handling fee is charged on all shipments to ensure safe delivery.
  • * Shipments are FOB: Celina, OH; Cebu, Philippines; and Guangdong, China.

Freight Claims

  • Freight claims must be initiated by the recipient.
  • Goods are shipped at buyer's risk, with title passing to recipient at FOB point.
  • Visions Awards is unable to guarantee on-time delivery or the safety of goods once turned over to a recognized carrier.
  • All claims must be made by the recipient against the appropriate carrier within 15 working days.
  • In every instance, it is essential that all original shipping cartons, packing materials, and damaged product(s) be retained by recipient until claim is settled.
  • Claims are not possible if any reshipment has occurred.

Damage Claims

  • Carefully inspect your order immediately to assure damage did not occur inshipment.
  • If damage occurs, contact our Customer Service Department at once.
  • A claim will be filed on your behalf if we are notified within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Claims are not possible if any reshipment has occurred.

Drop Shipments/Split Shipments

  • $6.25(G) per package, plus shipping and handling, when a hardcopy list is provided.
  • $5(G) per package, plus shipping and handling, when a detailed list of items and ship to information are provided on a CD or by email in an approved Excel format.

Foreign Shipments

  • All shipments outside of the United States incur a $25(G) documentation fee per location.
  • Contact name and phone numbers, including city and country code, must be provided for all International Shipments.
  • All International Shipments must be UPS or FedEx.

Other Services

Release Program

  • We have complete fulfillment capabilities to manage release programs. Please note the following program requirements:
  • $1000 minimum order (x)
  • Program duration: 1 year
  • Any remaining products will be shipped and billed at end of the year
  • Release charge: $25.00 (x)

Insertion Fee

  • Certificate holders insertion fee $ .75(X)
  • Personalized box insertion fee $1.50(X)
  • Generic box insertion fee $.50(X)

Guarantee

We guarantee our products to be free of any reasonable defects; however it is understood that variations of size, color, and/or patterns are characteristic of art quality handmade awards and are not considered defects. Surface variation, grain, texture, veining and surface cracking are consistent with natural materials and they cannot be avoided.

Lasering or Sand-etching art requirements

  • Send VECTOR artwork only (BITMAP files, METAFILES, or PAGE LAYOUT files will not reproduce with quality).
  • Properly made PDF files from VECTOR files are acceptable.
  • Send artwork files with all elements in Black & White (without grayscales).
  • Line thicknesses should be at least 1.5 points
  • * Provide a hard copy printout of layouts, a faxed version is acceptable.

Silkscreened and Photometal art requirements

Silkscreening Process:

  • Supply artwork in vector format and in solid black and white.
  • Supply artwork in vector format any art being screened in CMYK color.
  • Supply in rasterized CMYK color format (TIFF, GIF or JPEG with a resolution of 300 d.p.i. or greater and at 100%), any photo art being screened in four-color process.

Photometal Process:

  • Supply all photo images at approximately the size they are to be produced (grayscale raster format such as TIFF, GIF or JPEG with a resolution of 300 d.p.i. or greater).

Guide for Type sizes in etching

  • San Serif fonts (ex. Helvetica) = 12 pt or larger
  • Script fonts (ex. Shelley) = 15 to 18 pt or larger
  • Serif fonts (ex. Times) = 14 pt or larger.
  • Please refrain from using Open Face fonts (ex. Caslon Open Face) the lines are not thick enough and will not etch with quality.
  • * Note - Visions will not be responsible for the quality in etching for text point sizes smaller than specified above.

Paperproofs

  • Paperproof will be provided with each order.
  • We will provide a proof of the desired imprint on a template of the item ordered so you can approve the size positioning and spelling.
  • Written approval not returned via fax within 24 hours may delay your ship date.
  • When multiple proofs are required due to customer revisions, an $18.75(G) fee will be applied per proof.
