Lasering or sand-etching art requirements

• Please send VECTOR artwork only (BITMAP files, METAFILES, or PAGE LAYOUT files will not reproduce with quality).
• Properly made PDF files from VECTOR files are acceptable.
• Please send artwork files with all elements in Black & White (without grayscales).
• Line thicknesses should be at least 1.5 points.
• Please provide a hard copy printout of layouts, a faxed version is acceptable.

Silkscreened and Photometal art requirements

Silkscreening Process:

• Please supply, in a vector format and in solid black and white, any art being screened in solid PMS spot color.
• Please supply in a vector format and in full color, any art being screened in CMYK color.
• Please supply, in rasterized CMYK color format (TIFF, GIF or JPEG with a resolution of 300 d.p.i. or greater) and as needed to be reproduced, any photo art being screened in four-color process.

Photometal Process:

• Please supply all photo images at approximately the size they are to be produced (grayscale raster format such as TIFF, GIF or JPEG with a resolution of 300 d.p.i. or greater).

Camera-Ready Artwork

Camera-ready Black & White artwork is acceptable if rendered on high quality paper. Minimum resolution for all the output should be 600 dpi.

Guide for Type sizes in etching

• San Serif fonts (ex. Helvetica) = 12 pt or larger
• Script fonts (ex. Shelley) = 15 to 18 pt or larger
• Serif fonts (ex. Times) = 14 pt or larger.
• Please refrain from using Open Face fonts (ex. Caslon Open Face) the lines are not thick enough and will not etch with quality.

Paper Proofs

• At the customer's request, we are happy to supply one paper proof via fax at no additional charge.
• We will provide a proof of the desired imprint on a template of the item ordered so you can approve the size positioning and spelling.
• Written approval must be returned via fax within 24 hours so your order will not be delayed.
• When additional proofs are required due to preference changes or revisions, a nominal fee will be applied per proof.

Production Time/Rush Services

• 10 working days after art approvals (applies to catalog items and quantities).
• Exact repeat orders require approximately 3 to 7 working days (applies to catalog items and quantities).
• See "Quick Ship" guidelines for specific items that can ship in 3 working days.
• Additional charges may apply to non-Quick Ship catalog items required to ship in less than 10 working days (contact factory).

Quick Ship Guidelines

• Items designated with logo in catalog and price sheet.
• Applies to catalog quantities with standard imprints.
• Please provide complete purchase order including art and complete shipping information.
• Please Pre-approve credit.
• Please provide all documentation to Awardcraft by 3:00 pm E.S.T. (Receipt Date).
• Order will ship 3 days from Date of Receipt. Example: If order is received 3:00 pm Monday, it will ship Thursday evening by next day air service.

Paper Proofs

Custom Orders

• 50% order deposit is required prior to production.
• All custom orders require a Prototype.
• Prototypes will be billed separately, including tooling, imprint, materials, and other associated charges.

• Minimum quantity may apply depending on materials and processes used. Please call for more information.

Changes / Cancellations

• Please provide all changes to the factory in writing.
• Please understand, after art approval, production begins; changes after this time may be subject to additional charges.
• Cancellations may be subject to partial or full charges.

Shipping Services

Shipping/Handling

• All orders are F.O.B. our factory.
• Standard shipping methods are UPS or FedEx.
• Special shipping methods and requests are subject to additional handling charges.
• All export shipments are subject to additional handling charges.
• A $7(G) per Master Carton handling fee is charged on all shipments to ensure safe delivery.

Drop Shipments/Split Shipments

• $6.25(G) per package, plus shipping and handling, when a hardcopy list is provided.
• $3.75(G) per package, plus shipping and handling, when a detailed list of items and ship to information are provided on disk or by email in an approved Excel format.

Foreign Shipments

• All shipments outside of the United States incur a $25(G) documentation fee per location.
• Contact name and phone numbers, including city and country code, must be provided for all International Shipments.
• All International Shipments must be UPS or FedEx.

Damage Claims

• Carefully inspect your order immediately to assure damage did not occur inshipment.
• If damage occurs, contact our Customer Service Department at once.
• A claim will be filed on your behalf if we are notified within 24 hours of receipt.
• Claims are not possible if any reshipment has occurred.

Other Services

Release Program

• Entire release will be billed upon receipt of purchase order.
• All release shipments must be made in full within one twelve-month period.

Insertion Fee

Guarantee

We will gladly replace any reasonable defects in a Awardcraft award. It is understood that variations of size, color, and/or patterns are characteristic of art quality handmade awards and are not considered defects. Surface variation, grain, texture, veining and surface cracking are natural occurrences that appear throughout natural materials and may affect your copy; however, as they cannot be avoided when using natural materials, no replacement will be provided for these occurrences.
